Item Description

Wherryite is a rare compound Pb-Cu sulfate and the famous Mammoth Mine is the Type Locality. Light green granular Wherryite is scattered on the three thumbnail fragments composed of bright blue Diaboleite, a Pb-Cu halide, and a signature species from Tiger. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 9122 and acquired from Ron Bentley at the Tucson Show in 1981. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic Tiger combination material.
