Item Description

With the hundreds of species found at Franklin and Sterling Hill, there are only a few that are worthy to yield cut stones. A few that come to mind are Willemite, Zincite and Friedelite. Most species from Franklin are either too tiny, too devoid of color or too freaking rare to even consider cutting into gems. Willemite is probably the best known gem from Franklin and these stones are some of the finest cut Willemites around. Willemite gems over are very impressive for the simple fact that most Willemite crystals in are either too opaque or too small to produce a faceted stone. Good Willemite gems and are worthy of any collection. This stone has a very pleasing reddish to golden hue, and despite some visible inclusions, gems this size are not often seen on the market. This is definitely in the rare category, and it's a great stone for collectors, especially collectors of gems from the United States, or even the East Coast.
