An adorable wire silver thumbnail from the historic mines at Kongsberg. Stout, intertwined, curled and curved silver ropes beautifully rise up from the solid matrix of silver wires. The piece has a fine mellow patina and I really like the way the wires are slightly separated, adding drama and a sculptural quality. It looks great from either side. Classic and excellent, old-time material from the Will Henderson Collection, a well-known, longtime mineral author and collector. He was formerly a columnist for the Mineralogical Record.
