One of the most prolific and historic silver-producing localities in the world is Kongsberg, Norway. This important mining district dates back nearly 400 years, and produced some of the most impressive and recognizable specimens of wire Silver along with crystallized examples ever found. This particular specimen is an attractive toenail sized piece featuring, a fairly thick, striated, aesthetic curling wire Silver with a lovely patina. It's certainly an eye-catching piece and would make a great addition to a suite of native elements, or a collection of European classics. You don't see many Silvers from Kongsberg on the market these days, and the best pieces are without question the finest examples of wire Silver from any European locality.
