Item Description

A classic, very showy and rich, color-zoned, wulfenite varietal from the famous Ahumada Mine at Los Lamentos. The highly lustrous, blocky crystals, to 1.0 cm, are called "sandwich style" wulfenites because the two pieces of "bread" (faces) on the outside of the sandwich (crystal) are caramel-colored, while the crystal interior (the meat) is butterscotch-colored. This is not just a flat plate, and has decent 3-dimensionality. This excellent piece, with limited brusing, is essentially solid wulfenite with a little bit of calcite on the front and endlichite on the back.
