John Ydren collected during the heyday of Mexican material in the 1960s and 1970s, and spent considerable effort on his miniatures collection - looking for aesthetics, balance, and lack of damage at a time when those criteria were not at all customary. This is a superb cluster of butterscotch-orange colored wulfenites with thick robust form and great color. they have an unusual blocky habit, well-displayed on this 3-dimensional knob of matrix. All are undamaged all around, except only a tiny ding on one small crystal to the left, and one broken edge at the bottom periphery. All in all, it is an exceptional miniature in fine condition, showing a very unusual style from this classic mine. Valued $2000
