Item Description

Wulfenite specimens are EXTREMELY RARE from this obscure Eureka County, Nevada district. Beautiful, lustrous, transparent to translucent yellow window panes, to 7 mm, fill an impresssive long vug in the large sculptural, layered, vuggy, granular quartz crystal matrix. MINDAT lists 7 localities for the species, but features NO photos in the County photo gallery. Superb, very rich and RARE old-time material from the Otto Pfordte Collection, a prominent mining engineer, who passed away in 1938. His faded old label dates from 1904-1919. A MUST for the species or Nevada collector! Valued at $1000-plus for rarity and richness.
