Wulfenite with Calcite

A SUPERB, glowing thumbnail specimens: A gemmy and sharp, 1.5 cm crystal jauntily angled upon calcite-covered matrix dominates this fine locality specimen. The piece is from the Pure Potential MIne, nearby to the Red Cloud Mine and yet so different in that it produced much vanadinite and only a very few wulfenite specimens (which are highly sought after) over the years. However, the ones it did produce, like this one, are MORE RED than the nearby Red Cloud wulfenites! Red Cloud wulfs are red-orange. These are just red.
