The famous Xenotime-(Y) crystals from Novo Horizonte are some of the finest examples of the species ever found, especially because the crystals are so large, but still retain excellent form, sharpness and luster. This piece is a fine example of these beautiful classic crystals featuring a complete, well-formed, tetragonal prismatic group with high luster and an attractive dark golden-bronze hue. If you look closely, you will see a nearly metallic-esque reflectiveness just below the surface when the piece is rotated in the light. No major damage, save the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. A great thumbnail for any fan of pegmatite minerals or rare-earth species.
