Zircon gems from Cambodia are without question the best blue Zircons in the world. Without these stones, there would be very little in the way of blue Zircon on the market. Going back a couple decades, there was a good amount of these stones available, but they seemingly have dried up in recent years. Keep in mind that this is NATURAL ZIRCON, not synthetic zirconia. Some inexperienced buyers will shy away from Zircon because they fear it might be synthetic material, but the Cambodian gems are completely natural, though often heated to produce a more pleasing color. This stone has an "Oval Step" cut with a rich sea blue color and nearly eye-clean clarity. A good sized stone (over 1 carat) that would make for a great center stone in a piece of jewelry, or as an addition to your gem collection.
