Zircon

Zircon gems are found in a wide range of colors, with almost every shade of the rainbow represented. This particular stone is from Sri Lanka, and has a lovely auburn orange color. The gem is very very slightly included with a "Windmill Round" cut. These gems have been coming out for several years now, but they are still diverse for their range of color, as I've seen a wide spectrum of Zircons from this locality. This would be a great gem for a little pendant or to add to a Zircon suite. It's important to note that Zircon is sometimes confused with Cubic Zirconia, which is a lab-grown Diamond simulant, whereas Zircon is a completely natural silicate mineral. Zircon is one of the birthstones for December, and this stone would make a nice gift for somebody with a birthday in that month.
