Item Description

Zircon gems have been known for millennia. The word Zircon comes from the Arabic/Persian word "zargun" / "zarkun", meaning golden-colored or vermillion. It's likely that the original gems which were referred to as zircons thousands of years ago could have included any golden-hued stones, like Garnet. Sadly, there are some people today who still associate the word Zircon with synthetic material (cubic zirconia), but Zircons are 100% natural and well worth your time as a collector or gem enthusiast. Here we have a beautiful matched set of "Peakpoint Round Brilliant" cut Zircon gems with different hues, creating a beautiful "ombre" of color ranging from virtually colorless to golden-brown to a rich reddish color. The stones range in clarity from nearly eye-clean to very slightly included. It's rather difficult to find a set like this where all the stones have the same cut, and the same size, and when you throw in the range of color, it's a real treat.
