Zircon with Aegirine

Item Description

A lovely association specimen from the famous Mount Malosa locality in Malawi featuring excellent, well-formed, sharp, light tan colored tetragonal prisms of Zircon measuring up to 1.2 cm, associated with elongated deep green colored prismatic crystals of Aegirine measuring up to 2.5 cm. No major damage that I can find, as it's crystallized on all sides, with no significant point of attachment visible to the naked eye, and the piece is very aesthetic as you can see. A choice example of this uncommon association from what is almost certainly the most famous locality in Malawi.
