Item Description

A very attractive small cabinet sized piece of the uncommon aluminum silicate Zunyite from the type locality! The piece is loaded with dozens of fine quality, classic, small, grey tetrahedral crystals on/in Diaspore matrix. The crystals measure approximately 1 mm across. If you're a rare species collector or a fan of Colorado minerals, be sure to pick up this attractive specimen of this hard to find material from the San Juan Mountains. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019). Gary was an electrical engineer who worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft in California.
