Item Description

An extraordinary and eye-catching specimen from the Xianghuapu Mine featuring a fairly large, sharp, well-formed, gemmy, "misty" green colored cube of Fluorie with notable broad dodecahedral modifications on the edges. The back of the piece reveals a space where it was separate at some point from the pocket wall, but completely recrystallized ("re-healed"). Additionally one can see a handful of compressed trigonal Calcite crystals for a great touch. I honestly can't see any damage of note, and the piece is so much fun to spin around in your hand and look at every side. If you collect Fluorites or minerals of China, you cann't afford to miss out on this attractive and really special piece from this prodigious specimen producing locality. Valued at $1,800 Ex Dr. Steven Smale Collection. Along with amassing one of the finest private mineral collections in the world, Steve is a renowned mathematician.
