Item Description

A striking and colorful Azurite from the famous Clara Mine. The central vug is packed with deeply colored botryoidal Azurite which is associated with minor black Psilomenlane and colorless Fluorite cubes on amtrix. A tiny bit of associated Malachite can be seen on the piece as well. These are highly desirable classics from this historic mine and seldom available, only found in old collections. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4773). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). A great German classic from the famous locality. Valued at $900
