Brookite (gemmy ''phantom'' crystal) on Quartz

A lovely display quality specimen of these world-class Brookites from Balochistan, the best of which are almost certainly the finest examples of this particular style of Brookite ever found. These pieces come from an "Alpine-type" deposit, and they are remarkably similar to the true Alpine specimens from Italy/Switzerland, but the Pakistani crystals are much larger and have a more fiery red color typically. This piece host a pair of slender, top quality, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, rich bengal-orange colored crystals measuring up to 1.3 cm siting among sharp, lustrous, colorless / white Quartz crystals on matrix. You can see the lovely "striped" patterns in the Brookites created by the black internal "phantoms" which in my mind have created a "tiger-stripe"-esque appearance. No damage to the Brookites, and the piece is beautiful in person. Valued $1,250.
