Item Description

A wonderful crystal group of cubic, gemmy, golden Fluorite which have a gentle coating of brassy colored Marcasite to create a very attractive two-tone appearance. The underside of the specimen features beautiful white "saddle"-shaped crystals of Dolomite. The specimen is in great shape overall, and displays beautifully as you can see. The Fluorite crystals were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. It's not common to have this much Marcasite coating the Fluorites like this, usually we only see a few small inclusions in the crystals from Moscona. The largest Fluorite measures 4 mm on edge. Virtually damage free save the periphery were it detached from the pocket wall. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. Ex Brian Kosnar Collection.
