Item Description

Moraesite is a rare hydrated beryllium phosphate that was named in 1953 after the Brazlian mineralogist Luciano Jacques de Moraes. This piece features white radiating groups of Moraesite wich are associated with minor with minor Cyrilovite and Roscherite. This species is found in about 30 localities around the world, and they are always small (micro) and seldom found in any real quantity. Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
