Item Description

Pink Apophyllites from St Andreasberg are some of the most iconic and classic specimens from any European locality. This attractive small miniature display specimen hosts a sharp, lustrous, translucent, pseudo-cubic crystal of brilliant pink Apophyllite measuring 4 mm aesthetically set on matrix. Good quality all around, and the color is just so eye-catching, especially for a spieces that is often found in colorless examples. Outside of the green Apophyllites from India, these might be the most colorful Apophyllites in the world. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3659). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). A lovely German classic from the famous locality.
