Item Description

A beautiful pair of the famous and elusive "Pecos Diamonds" from Riverside in Eddy County, New Mexico. These specimens are easily recognizable for their pseudo-cubic form (with pronounced "r" faces) and soft golden color. These pieces are typically translucent, but show beautiful crystal form. The pieces are both nearly complete "floaters" and are crystallized all the way around. A great thumbnail set of this classic and highly sought after material. If you collect Quartz, thumbnails or minerals of the United States, don't miss out on this attractive set that probably dates back severl decades. Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite). The piece also is accompanied by a label from Kay Robertson.
