Scapolite (unusually colorless)

Item Description

This gem was cut from a piece of rough mined in early to mid 2000s, when there was a small discovery of these interesting and unusually colorless Scapolite gems from Afghanistan. This stone is a has a standard "Step Brilliant" cut and looks great in sunlight and indoor lighting. Even though Scapolite isn't necessarily considered a rare stone, this is different and unusual and worthy of adding to any rare stone collection. The gem has very very slight inclusions, but still good quality, and how often does one see colorless Scapolite on the market?
