Item Description

From the find that produced the largest crystals of Stibnite seen in the modern era of mineral collecting! This small cabinet size piece features a few good sized, bright, intense metallic silver color, prismatic crystals of Stibnite forming an eye-catching display specimen. The terminations of the main crystals are all pristine, but some of the smaller crystals are contacted. You just don't see crystals of this size anymore on the market as it seems that Wuling is not producing them at at this time, and to find a three-dimensional group like this is certainly uncommon. Ex Dr. Steven Smale Collection. Along with amassing one of the finest private mineral collections in the world, Steve is a renowned mathematician. His accomplishments include being awarded the Fields Medal in 1966 along with being the awarded the Wolf Prize in mathematics in 2007.
