Item Description

Tourmalines are found in essentially every color of the rainbow. While the more common hues are green, blue and pink, there are all kinds of intermediary colors seen in Tourmalines, and this stone is a great example of said material. This stone has a notable predominant orange hue, which is rare in Tourmaline, though it's not pure orange, as there is a pink overtone, but the domination shade is certainly orange. The gem has a "Brilliant Oval" cut with nearly eye-clean clarity, which is important to note for a Tourmaline as they are classified as Type-3 gemstones, which means that inclusions (even small ones) are typically present, and accepted by jewelers, collectors and dealers, so "clean" gems are rare and appreciated by dealers and collectors. A really attractive stone that would make a great central gem for a piece of jewelry, or simply as an addition to your gem collection.
